NewsAssassin's Creed 3 hits 7 million sales, becomes Ubisoft's fastest-selling game
Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed 3 is officially its fastest-selling game. After turning out 3.5 million sales during its launch week, the action-adventure title delivered a whopping 7 million sales after just one month.
To put things into perspective, the first Assassin's Creed sold 2.5 million units during its first month. That's not a bad number by any means, but it still pales in comparison to the outstanding 7 million sales that Assassin's Creed 3 has certainly surpassed by now.
Some interesting in-game stats were released by Ubisoft to commemorate this massive feat. According to the company, total playtime has come out to 82 centuries among all Assassin's Creed 3 players, and over 3 billion assassinations have been committed. Holy murder!
Assassin's Creed 3 is available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC. Surely we can expect to see the game sell even more in the near future as it's likely to be a hot holiday wish list item.
