NewsAssassin's Creed 3 sneaks its way onto September issue of PTOM
September's issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine takes a deep look into the latest installment of Ubisoft's blockbuster franchise, Assassin's Creed 3.
As detailed on the PlayStation Blog, the September issue, available today, takes a "deep look into the gameplay of both the home console and portable games with exclusive insight from the developers".
While Assassin's Creed 3 is going to be available on multiple platforms, the PS3 one of them, Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation is strictly a PlayStation Vita exclusive. Earlier this month, a trailer was released giving fans their first look at how the Assassin's Creed franchise, normally on consoles, translates to Sony's new Vita mobile device. The trailer was so impressive that it helped earn Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation a spot on our list of upcoming Vita games to get excited for.
Like the console version, Liberation also introduces a new protagonist. In it, players control Aveline, the series' first female protagonist, who is fighting for freedom in 18th century New Orleans. Events in the Liberation take place during the same time period as Assassin's Creed 3.
If Assassin's Creed 3 isn't for you, the September issue will also take a look at 14 new PlayStation IP's "that promise to inject fresh ideas into gaming's veins". Two games included in this are Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls and Naughty Dog's The Last of Us, two promising PS3 exclusive titles.
